A sociable camp in one of Canada’s most powder-heavy resorts, designed to transform your skiing ability. If you’re ready to boost your powder technique, gorge on some of Canada’s best terrain and connect with great people, then this is for you.

Set in the beautiful mountainscapes of Fernie, an area known for its feather-light snow, playful bowls and infectious outdoor culture, enjoy two weeks developing your all-mountain skiing prowess while smashing through boundaries in your riding. With 8-days of pro coaching from our seasoned instructors, our improver camps also feature an optional day of guided cat-skiing in a nearby powder zone, where you’ll test your skills floating through the deep stuff.

You’ll stay in our welcoming ski lodge and spend each day on the hill with our expert coaches, followed by social evenings with your crew soaking up Canadian culture. You’ll meet a great bunch of people who share your interest in skiing and by the end of the camp you’ll have made new friends for life. For solo travellers, small groups and couples, this camp is suited to intermediate to expert riders and dates are available through the season.

Fernie is a ski mecca with cult status for its deep powder, adventurous terrain and authentically Canadian town, just a few of the reasons Nonstop was founded here. Set in southeast British Columbia, it receives mega amounts of annual snowfall and has the biggest vertical in Canadian Rockies.

A legendary mountain famed for powder with five alpine bowls: Cedar, Lizard, Currie, Timber and Siberia. Each one has unique appeal, with ungroomed steeps, chutes, open glades, remote ridges as well as long groomers.
With an average of 10m of snowfall each season, Fernie is one of the best places in the world to ride powder. The soft snow is what truly separates Fernie from many resorts – it’s so light and fluffy, it makes riding the steeps surprisingly accessible. A combination of the horse-shoe shape of the bowls, local weather systems and Pacific fronts are to thank for Fernie’s frequent dumps and feather-light flakes.
Located in the southeast corner of British Columbia, Fernie is a welcoming town that promises an authentic taste of mountain life, with a chilled-out feel, rich ski culture and an infectious community spirit.
The nightlife in Fernie is eclectic, and can be chilled or wild depending on the night. There’s everything from big nights with live music at The Northern, to jam sessions at local pub Brickhouse, and delicious mixes at cocktail bar Fernie Distillers. There’s no nightclub as such, but the options are fun and, for seasonaires, house parties are common.
Fernie has a vibrant foodie scene with a small but diverse collection of local spots. You’ve got restaurants like Nevados for tacos and tequila, Loaf for great sourdough pizza and the Northern for the best burgers in town, doubling up as a lively bar too. There’s the Brickhouse, home to great pub food and weekly jam sessions, plus Yamagoya for great sushi and Asian fusion. Lunchbox and Mugshots are perfect for healthy and delicious lunch options, smoothies and coffee.

Coaching

This camp combines all-mountain coaching with guided freeriding to furnish you with all the skills you need to ski anywhere on the mountain. Skiing with your Nonstop coach and a small group of other riders will be some of the most fun and rewarding skiing you’ve ever experienced.

Activities

Our camps are designed with more than just coaching in mind and the added extras are the icing on the cake. The highlight is a mega day cat-skiing in the backcountry where we’ll head away from the borders of a controlled ski area to bound through untouched pow. A modified snowcat will take you to wild peaks before you drop in to make smooth turns through pillow-soft snow, cementing the skills you’ve developed. They’ll also be weekly workshops and end-of-week après, plus your host will organise evening socials depending on the local calendar, with options such as curling or cheering on the local ice hockey team.

Each chalet is different but all feature large common living areas, open log fires and spacious rooms, with twin-share or private options available depending on your budget and preference. Our friendly chalet teams provide cooked breakfasts and après tea Monday to Friday, with a self-serve breakfast available on weekends. We’ll lay on a delicious three course meal with unlimited bottled wine five evenings each week too, to fuel your long days of skiing and boarding.

Located in the heart of Breuil-Cervinia, we are a short walk (50m) from the nearest lift and close to all the local amenities, bars and restaurants. The traditional rooms are spacious and warm, with twin-share and private options depending on your budget and preference. A continental breakfast spread is served in the hotel’s restaurant each morning to fuel the day ahead. There’s also a lounge and reading room to kick back and hang out as a group over drinks and post-ski video analysis.

A backcountry lodge nestled in British Columbia's Purcell Mountains, the Boulder Hut embodies a unique freedom. Accessed via a 20-minute heli ride from Kimberley, the Boulder Hut serves as our base for a four-day ski touring and splitboarding adventure. Comprising a series of sustainable, hyrdro and wood-powered log cabins with bunkroom-style sleeping quarters, plus a communal area for socialising and dining, you've got everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. With no internet you can truly unplug, there's a stretching area to soothe your worked muscles and electric points to charge your camera. Your transfer will leave from Calgary Airport at 17:00 on the start date of your course. Allow time to clear border control. If travelling by air, opt for a flight that lands before 15:00. You'll arrive into Fernie by appox. 21:00.

End

Your transfer will leave from Fernie in the morning and arrive at Calgary Airport by approx. 13:30 on the end date of your course. If travelling by air, opt for a flight that departs after 16:30.
