The first step to becoming a ski instructor is to secure a qualification from a recognised body, with organisations like the CSIA, BASI or NZSIA. Each of these systems is made up of several levels, representing a progression in skills and knowledge. From Level 1 through 4, a Level 1 is the first rung of the ladder and will start your journey. To broaden your prospects, you’ll need to get your Level 2, which is often the standard for international recognition. As you gain experience, you can work towards your Level 3 and 4.
Training for your qualifications is what Nonstop instructor courses specialise in. We can help prepare you for your Level 1, 2 or 3, setting you up for success with coaching, qualifications, workshops, tips, tricks and CV-boosting experiences. They’re also a whole load of fun, where you’ll develop your all-mountain game, meet great people and enjoy the seasonaire way of life.
You can pay in instalments. After you pay your deposit, the remaining balance is split into two equal instalments – the payment dates of which will be detailed on the invoice you receive. If you need more flexibility, let us know and we can discuss what works with you.
We keep groups small; we plan for 6 but will not go beyond 7 riders to a coach, matched by similar ability and goals. We find this creates an optimum dynamic from both a coaching and social perspective, allowing for one-on-one feedback.
Absolutely you can come on your own – most riders who join us come solo. We create a welcoming and social environment where you will meet like-minded people and make new friends. If you are happy to share a room with someone, we will pair you with a guest of the same gender. If you are unsure about sharing a room, we have private rooms available.
Every camp is different, but they are designed for a range of levels from intermediate through to expert. We aim for several groups per camp organised by ability and outlook, so you’ll ride with people of a similar level and working on similar goals.
As a minimum, you should be comfortable skiing or snowboarding on groomed terrain with intermediate technique. Be sure to read through the Course Page to find the level required and read our Ability Guide to see where you’re at. If you have any questions or concerns, just ask one of our team.
Designed to spark progression at a sport you love, we create unforgettable ski and snowboard camps for riders of all levels, set in wild locations around the world.
Each camp features expert coaching, local adventure and a social group of like-minded riders, plus hassle-free extras like your lift pass, accommodation and airport transfers. Whatever camp you join, expect a sociable adventure with a crew of new friends, huge progression in your riding, and a healthy dose of adrenaline.
A typical week will feature several days of pro coaching in small, ability-based groups. Full-day coaching sessions are followed by après, down time, group dinners and evening socials, with free days for rest, freeskiing or other activities we lay on, whether cat-skiing in the backcountry or snowshoeing through frozen forests.
Yes. If you are travelling solo and go for a twin-share room, we will pair you with another guest of the same gender. We get some info from each guest before the trip, so we can match you with the perfect roomie.
Yes. All courses include a transfer from, and back to, the recommended meeting point on the start and end date of your course.
